What this website collects

The only information this site collects is what you type into one of its two forms.

The free inspection request form

• The roofing system on the property, what the roof needs, and how soon
• The property address, city, ZIP code and property type
• A preferred inspection date and whether you are flexible
• Your name, phone number and email address
• Your preferred contact method and the best time to reach you
• Any additional detail you choose to write about the roof
• Your confirmation that we may contact you about the request

The contact form

• Your name, email address and (optionally) phone number
• Your city, if you choose to select one
• The enquiry type, subject and your message
• Your preferred method of reply
• Your confirmation that we may reply

Technical information

When a form is submitted, the server records the time and a one-way cryptographic hash of the connection’s IP address. The hash is used only to apply a submission rate limit and cannot be reversed to recover the address. Standard web server logs may also record requests in the normal course of operating a website.

What it is used for

• Arranging and carrying out the roof inspection you requested
• Sending you the findings and, where relevant, a scope and estimate
• Answering the question you asked
• Following up on work we have carried out for you
• Preventing automated and abusive submissions

What is not done with it

• It is not sold. Not to lead brokers, not to marketing companies, not to anyone.
• It is not passed to third parties for their marketing.
• It is not used for advertising retargeting. This site carries no advertising or tracking pixels.
• It does not become a mailing list. Sending an inspection request does not subscribe you to anything.

Cookies and local storage

This website uses two things stored in your browser, and neither tracks you:

• A session cookie (nrsess), set only when you use a form. It exists so the site can check that a submission came from the page it claims to have come from, which is how the forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close the browser.
• A local storage entry (nr-theme), which remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the site. It never leaves your device.

There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers on this site.

Third-party services this site touches

• Google Fonts — the site’s typefaces are loaded from Google’s font service, so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads. That is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
• Google Maps — the “Get directions” links open Google Maps in a new tab. Nothing is sent to Google unless you choose to follow one of those links. There is no embedded map on this site.

How long information is kept

Enquiries and inspection requests are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and to keep a record of work carried out. Rate-limiting records are automatically deleted a short time after they are created. If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will do it.

How it is stored

Form submissions are stored on the web server and, where email delivery is configured, sent to a business email address. Access is limited to people who need it in order to answer you. No payment card details are collected by this website at any point.

Photographs of completed work

Project photographs appear in the portfolio without property addresses, customer names, project costs or dates. Customer reviews are published only with explicit permission and only in the form the customer agreed to. See the reviews page for how that works.

Children

This website is intended for property owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be described rather than made quietly.
